He walks around with his dog in his arms as if he were a child, while his young son walks

Lately, more and more people are realizing that pets are more than just companions; they are true members of the family and, as such, deserve to be loved and respected. Some manage to take this noble lesson to a new level by giving their four-legged friends very special, often maternal (or paternal), and very tender attention. One example is the recent video of a father walking his son and dog, which immediately went viral on TikTok.

On an ordinary day, drivers waiting at a red light witnessed a rather unusual scene: a Pitbull walking down the street in its owner’s arms, as if it were a child. The dog was happy to be carried, while the man held his son’s hand, who walked diligently behind him.

The scene didn’t go unnoticed by passersby, as one of them couldn’t resist taking out his smartphone and recording what was happening. The video was posted on TikTok with the ironic caption: “When your dog is the priority, not your child.” The clip quickly garnered thousands of views and comments.

The incident occurred in a Mexico City neighborhood: the dog wasn’t on a leash, so it’s assumed its owner decided to carry it to prevent it from coming into contact with passersby or reacting defensively. Another theory is that the dog was unwell and this prevented it from walking, or simply to protect it from burns due to the high pavement temperature.

It’s precisely for this reason that the vast majority of users admired the father’s gesture, who certainly didn’t neglect his dog by taking its hand to prevent it from getting lost. “It’s not a question of priorities, it’s called empathy. I would do the same thing; my dogs are part of the family too,” commented one woman.

And what do you think?
